    Well, my hen died last night. It was very cold, maybe that was a factor. The mass on her face hadn't decreased in size. I think the illness was too far along for the meds to work. She's at peace now.

    I don't. My scale is a gram and oz scale. The oz go by tens, and the grams could be estimated to .5 but no smaller.

    I think Trich/canker is my final guess at her illness. Thanks for all the info! I'm going to look online for copper sulfate, berimax &/or thyme extract. Hopefully I can treat it in time.

    Thank you for these photos!! Now I'm thinking my hen has wet pox. Inside her beak is yellow junk like in this pox photo. I was able to scrape some off with a q-tip today. Now I need to read up on pox treatment.
