    Goose nest help

It’s all good. Quackery is an adorable name for ducks I’d love o see pictures when you get them. It was a congenial defect so we all knew it was going to happen but she had a very happy live :).

    Widower Gander, what to do

So I’m actually rescuing a 2 year old African goose after I made some calls but that’s going to be a little bit of a long process since I’m getting her from a government facility any advice on what to do in the meantime?

    Widower Gander, what to do

I got back from college two days ago. My father told me that my goose, Cheese died suddenly a week ago. She had been nesting and was found dead in the pond with no apparent cause of death. Crackers, my gander was very attached to her and wouldn’t go anywhere without her. They’ve been together...

    Goose nest help

Guys I’m back again with questions about Cheese and her weird nesting habits. So she currently is sitting on her nest at night and in the early mornings and afternoons and is off during midday when it’s the hottest. However I went out tonight and noticed she wasn’t sitting fully on all of the...

    Is this potential angel wing?

I’m not quite sure, it may be too early to tell I would @ some of the others who replied to my original post as they have more experience with geese then I.

10 month old African goose laying eggs everywhere

I’ll get a full count of the eggs tomorrow. She’s been sitting on them and I think if the dogs were getting and moving the eggs they would have eaten them. I only have one male and a female goose so I know she’s the only one laying unless I have geese breaking into my yard to lay eggs. How many...

10 month old African goose laying eggs everywhere

Hey yall, I have a mated pair of African geese who are both 10 months old. Cheese my goose has built two nests, one she laid four eggs in and was not sitting on, one of my pigs got into the goose pen and ate the eggs. But she laid another clutch of eggs with around 18 eggs that she is sitting...

    Is this potential angel wing?

So I recently switched my goslings over to waterfowl feed instead of all flock raiser. But looking at my gosling wings I’m a little worried about angel wing with the change in protein content. I cannot tell if it is just the way his feathers are laying or if he is starting to develop angel wing.

    Gosling breed identification?

My two goslings are starting to get their feathers and I’m trying to figure out what kind of geese I have and potentially their genders if anyone has any guesses. I think I have a male and a female and I’m sick between thinking they are Toulouse or African The first two photos are of the...

    Overly picky goslings

They get two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon for grazing but then only seem interested in the grass, none of the other leafy plants.

    Overly picky goslings

Peas are a big hit with both my little ones. Which is great because my turkeys won’t touch them

    Overly picky goslings

I tried eating strawberries infront of them and I got Crackers to try it. It seems like he just doesn’t like them considering he immediately flung the piece back at me.

    Overly picky goslings

I’m trying to introduce new food to my goslings. So far I’ve given them chopped apples, strawberries, green peas, lettuce, various grasses, watermelon, blackberries, blueberries and mulberries. They only ate the watermelon, peas, lettuce and grass. Any suggestions to get them to try new foods? I...
