    The only time we do anything about their fights is when a tom is so badly beaten and bloodied that he can't defend himself... when that happens, the other toms will kill him. He has to be removed from the flock... usually permanently. We strive to maintain a ratio of one tom to a dozen or so...

    turkey shelter?

    The large shelter is an example of what we provide the pastured turkeys. The bottom picture is a portable field nest... 4 nest boxes on each side, accessed by a walkway down the center. The sides drop down for egg gathering or nest cleaning. Both are built on skids so they can be relocated.

    Turkey Roosts?

    Turkeys for the most part, prefer roosting as high as they can get. We raise Narragansetts, which roost outdoors even in the worst weather. We build the roosts a minimum of 6 feet off the ground... attached to a shelter as pictured.
