I live in Texas- we don't have seasons. We have summer and February. LOL! We definitely have snapping turtles- I just don't have any on my pond. They would be quickly eradicated as my kids swim in our pond. I love my geese but I'm definitely not taking any chances with my two legged kiddos...

Yes- just chilling by the pen. They go forage for a bit and then come back. They did go out on to the water last night thank goodness.

It's about a 6 acre pond with plenty of other goodies around it so hopefully fish won't be their main focus.

I read all the time about guineas chasing off a fox and killing a mink. Will they really do that? Would they deter a raccoon or just become raccoon food? I'm looking for something to help me protect my geese or at least alert me so I can go shoot the coon.

My friend is giving me some guinea eggs that were fertilized by a rooster- should I incubate them like chicken eggs or guinea eggs? We are experimenting to see if we can get any to hatch.

I would like to get some muscovy ducks to help with pest control and weed control on my pond. Question is how much of a dent are they going to put on my fish? I don't want to not have any fish left.
