Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Cindy's been canning like crazy. Salsa has multiple things and always turns out great. Ever had Dilly Beans? Anyway, one of my many fridge and freezers died yesterday. In moving things I found a bottle of pickled "round items" made by Swampducks" who was a regular on here years ago. I "won"...

Not the post I want to make. I'll be missing CS 2025 due to obligations out east (New England). I have the sign-up book and raffle tickets, etc. So that said, Cindy will be at a meeting in Birch Run on Thursday, 12 June. If someone wants to meet her near there at some point that day her cell...

And yes, above all else, stay safe during these ice and wind storms. Don't take chances or work above your abilities. Not worth it.

A short time ago I mentioned a wild turkey. Last Spring it, it's Mom, and sibling, stayed here around my flock for some reason. Well the Mom and other baby went missing. So the young turkey stayed with my domestic for over a year...we couldn't make it go away. About a month ago a large flock...

Was it a wild one? I read the Mallards were high on the AI list. We've been lucky not to have any problems here. Crows routinely go in our duck house and steal food, plus we have wild bird feeders. My biggest problem is one you may not believe...a wild turkey that lives here. More on that...

Your post popped on my email Chick! So, yep always busy. Worked a week up near Gaylord at the Jordan River Hatchery for the F&WS. bought a few feathered out chicks for a dollar each at TSC, Wyandottes and a Brahma. Got a few free Khaki Campbells from a gal down the road, only 4 days old but...
