I was wondering if you guys still used the chat thread. I sent chick among us a message buy I though I'd put it on here too, I had more hens go broody so I couldn't get her eggs out, I was getting 3-4 wheaten eggs a day but all of a sudden they decided they wanted chicks! Its been inthe high 60s...
sorry about the shoddy quality, the first is an old pic of my roo, ignore the dark brown hen in the picture of 3, thats an olive egger that runs with the flock and the last is a pic of chicks, I can't remember if that is the hens themselves or my first hatching, either way they were the most...
mine!
Hi Everybody! Ya miss me? I've been waiting for silkie eggs!
I have no idea where the stuff from my trade page is but I'm offering eggs now!
6+ Wheaten ameraucana, I have 2 broodies out of my 7 hens so i should still get 6 at least 6 in 2 days, I can add a few extra EE eggs if you want.
gah, why couldn't you be closer, or why couldn't I be closer to you! Either way I think its too hot right now for chicks, I try not to hatch any in the summer. I have 2 right now but they are for the goslings to have friends and I'm bringing them all inside for the next week or so until the...
I'm the one in Sanger near alice, I just hatched some marans from her eggs, they are about 6 weeks old now, so no egg eaters here. I hatched 6 and i got 5 roos. They are all at my house in town because I tore a leg muscle and haven't been able to build the new pen at my sisters like I was...
if only you were closer, I hatched out 6 maran last month and it looks like a 5:1 ratio, boys to girl. It was bound to happen, my ameraucanas were coming out 2:3 last couple of hatches
I have a home made incubator and every other egg was fine, it was only a couple of polish that had the curled toes. It happens, everything I've read says not to use those birds for breeding stock and they'll be fine even if you didn't fix it youngest
Thanks. As for the club foot, ihave a couple of polish that came out that way, did you get your eggs locally? I got mine from a lady in...oakhurst and I think its genetic. You can make little cardboard booties for them but it has to be done after hatching or it won't work.
