    Older hen getting kicked out??

I have 2 older hens that are 5+ years and 3 other chickens that are just now 7 months. My oldest girl is probably 6 or 7 years, and this past week she has been spending a majority of her time in the coop on a perch. She was molting and consequently not laying, but she seems mostly through the...

    Marek's Disease?

She was worse for awhile and would barely get up, now she's hopping along with the leg behind her. I don't think it's Marek's at this point, but I still don't know what is going on! She's still alert, eating, drinking, and the others don't pick on her so 🤷‍♀️

    Marek's Disease?

I can't remember the brand of feed at the moment, but it's organic pellets. I also give them organic food scraps and dried meal worms. I'll try the B-complex. I'm just really upset, she is the sweetest little girl and I love her! Here is a YouTube link of her (the black silkie) from about a week ago

    Marek's Disease?

I do have a young silkie roo about a year old. He doesn't seem to bother my young silkie hens that are about 4 months, but he does think he's the bees knees and goes after my cochin/ameraucana mix and my leghorn/ameraucana mix. Those girls aren't having it 😂

    Marek's Disease?

Hi there! I have the sweetest black silkie that is about 4 months old. She started limping 3 weeks ago. I checked for bumblefoot, I felt all up and down her leg and did feel or see any injury. I put her in her own crate with food and water to make her rest. She is alert, eating, and drinking...

    Sticktight Fleas

I've treated all 3 of my dogs and less than 24 hours later most of them are gone. Luckily my dogs did not have a lot of them so it wasn't a huge deal. Thanks!

    Sticktight Fleas

I noticed today that my dogs have some sticktight fleas. I checked my flock and they do not appear to have any. My dogs do not have access to my chickens (they don't play nicely together ). Any ideas or experience on where else my dogs may be getting them from? I do love near an acequia (ditch)...

    PLEASE HELP! Injured chicks!

Ok thank you I appreciate it. Will it be ok if I put them together? The other chick I have that was not injured is also separated so it doesn't pick on the injured ones.

    PLEASE HELP! Injured chicks!

I am at a loss as to what I need to do for 2 of my chicks. They are about 2 months old and I tried integrating them with the rest of my hens last night. I put them safely in the coop last night and this morning I found them a bloody mess. I feel terrible. I have never had a problem integrating...
