    I just bought 5 turken chicks who look just hatched, and to be honest a little weird. :) I was just wondering, do these chicks need any special care?     I think this may be my best bet for Lucky if she has it, she doesn't really have any sign that I could see other then tiny black dot on the bottom of her foot. No swelling anyway, but after seeing this I know Hazel has a huge bubble looking thing on her leg and had since we got her.

    Oh wow thank you! I had no idea turkeys needed different food. I'm so glad I found this forum, so far all my birds are happy and growing SO fast! I'm so grateful for all the advice. :)

    Wow they try to breed with chickens?! O.O I do not want that to happen. Yikes... Do you know about what age this happens? My birds are still pretty small but I don't want to lose any of them. I'm hoping to have a separate coop for my turkeys this summer but if they Breed young I'll build them...

    So my Rhode island red "lucky red" has been limping for weeks. She's laying but hasn't left the coop and isn't "broody" when she leaves the coop she has to hop on one foot. I've tried setting her in warm water checked her foot visually but she won't let me touch it. How long should it take for...
