Yep, if they will out on raw meat naked and at a distance, they will out on a person in full drive. I do the same with the okay for stuff that fell. It's never a dash as dogs are always faster - lol.
Humans are ALWAYS harder to train than dogs!
I like Blooie's method of teaching the release. It's good. It's positive use of negative reinforcement. I teach the 'out' differently, as it is a release from an instructed bite on a sleeve or leg on the helper during training. Since they are biting an actual live human, the out must be...
Great info! Thanks! They are quite pretty, too. One would think that with all the black, they would be hotter and harder to raise than say a white breed. My favs for looks are the Silver Lace Ws.
BTW, Newfoundlands are working water dogs with different dispositions and inclinations than herding dogs, such as the Komondors, and require different training methods. Herders will quite frequently exhibit nipping actions, as that is how they herd other animals. It's what makes them herders...

Yep, the lights are great. So are the fireworks, too! Keep coming - we like tourist to keep improving our local economy!!! LOL.
Thanks for the link, but I don't think New Zealand's regulations apply in Las Vegas. I need to find the local info and the FDA info pages here. Just have not spent...

Hiya,
I'm new here, and located in Vegas. Many decades ago, I used to have a large flock of ladies and a couple of roosters, but that was when we lived in CA. Now that we are in the desert and suburbia, I don't have any - yet. But I want to raise them again and duckies, too. Maybe even...
