So I acquired a chicken that is about the same age as my other flock and same breed as some. She was attacked by a fox and I nursed her back to health. She actually started out with a couple of hens and the rooster I acquired before her. I have kept her separate from the flock until this week...
Hello from Windham Maine. Looking to swap my almost one year old male pekin for the same aged female pekin duck. I have two males and they are trying to mate all the time and a little aggressive towards each other. Please help.
I just checked on her and she had laid a second egg in the night and seems to be feeling better. She’s eating and clucking now. Should I bring her back into the run with the others or keep her separated?
So we brought her inside and cleaned her vent. She ended up laying an egg that was very very soft. I gave her some water with acv since that’s all I have right now until I go to the store. I was told maybe a little bit of yogurt in food? Thanks for the help.
So I just decided to let my chickens out of their run to play a bit and one of my those island reds didn’t want to come out when usually they all come running out to play. So I checked her out and it looks like her bottom is weeping clear fluid. Does anyone know what that means?
In search for a six month old male to go with my female pekin duck. We lost our male last week and she is lonely. Willing to take more than one. Please help.
