    Hi! I have a friend who just started her first flock. They are 4 weeks old. She has a Red Star with a beak that doesn't close properly. The top doesn't meet the bottom, it goes off to the side. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thankyou!

    What took 9 chickens during the day?

    Thankyou for your replies. They found the carcusses in the woods. We think it had to be a pack of something to take 9 at once. We're afraid to let our chix free range now.

    My friend lost 9 chickens yesterday. They dissapeared with some feathers strewn about. One came back with a 3-4" oval area of skin missing below it's wing.     I have a 3 month old rooster that started loosing his voice about 6 days ago. I noticed a chunk out of one wattle. Today I saw dried blood all over his comb. Any ideas? thank you.
