I had to add some straw to the rollout nesting boxes to encourage them to use them instead of several other places they were laying. Now all but one hen uses...

    It took us 6 to 8 weeks partly because we were learning as we built it. We are retired so we worked on it every day. I used to spend way too much time cleaning and filling waterers. Now, I just fill the covered buckets every day or two. The auto feeder really reduces the amount of food waste.
