My chicks are still in the brooder for a few more weeks. It will have plenty of time to air out before they go in there! I was thinking, white, or a very pale blue, even a pale sage green.
I have decided against building my own coop. I don’t have the tools needed, I don’t have any knowledge of building, and my husband is only home on the weekends so is unable to help with too much of it. So we have bought an 8x12 building to convert into a coop!
I do feel like we can at list...
At least until our summer gets going here. One of the things about living in the Chihuahuan Desert! I’ll just mix a little bit at a time to get through this next week with my new babies. Thanks!!
I will look for those other products when I go tomorrow. Got to build up my supplies. I ended up buying all 3 of the electrolytes and probiotics! Figured it wouldn’t hurt to have some extra on hand when summer really hits here.
That sounds like a great idea and definitely a lot better than using it all up to throw most of it away! I just wasn’t sure if there is another way to keep it in the fridge or something.
All the electrolytes I have looked at have directions to make a gallon at a time. Then it says to throw out after 24 hours. Is there a way to keep the gallon longer as I don’t need a gallon every 24 hours? I think I’m missing something. Also, what kind does everyone prefer? These are the two...
I'm debating on a ladder style roost or several long ones. Still unclear how I should set these up. I'm also interested in poop board arrangement with both styles. Can y'all share your wisdom on what has or hasn't worked for you? Pictures would also be fantastic. I'm looking at an 8 foot length...
Which is the best to use? 1/4" or 1/2"? I see that 1/2" is slightly cheaper and easier to get in 100' rolls. This would make covering an 8'x16' covered run a little easier if 1/2" would be sufficient. Open to any other suggestions as well.
If I make it slightly bigger than the given plan I can put 3 across the width or doone lengthwise. I’m planning 7 for now. Lengthwise would make it roughly 8’ long with the peak from the floor 5.5’ tall.
