Would egg bound be the lack of feathers or the hunch? We have noticed the hunch since she was days old, and she is over a year old now. She does not seem to be stressed, eating and drinking properly, social with the rest of the flock.
We have a hen that since a day old has always had a sort of hunched back, she has never had any issues but now she is starting to drop feathers and skin looks raw. Wondering if anyone knows what is wrong with her hunched back and what is happening with her feathers.
Hi everyone,
We have 3 hens and a rooster and have 4 chicks that are getting very old now(about 5 months). We believe that two of the chicks are roosters. Is their anyway we can keep the two baby roosters, we have really loved them and would like to keep them!
Thanks for all your thoughts. We have left the chicks alone with mom as she seems to be very protective and doing a great job caring for them herself. We are definitely enjoying watching them grow and adventure around.
So we have some chicks that hatched today and i was wondering when we can start to pick them up and play with them! And if we took them away into the house to play with them would the mothers not take them back? Or would we have to stay in the coop to play with them! Please help
Thanks Waddell...

We have had chickens for about 10 months now, they came with the house we bought so we don't know how old they are! We are thinking of having chicks so we were waiting for them to go broody! Well two of them have gone broody! They have eggs under them so what is the next step?
Thanks
