I agree with the others , dont stress to much about temp. Get a thermometer and start at around 95 then just watch the chicks, you will be able to tell when its the right temp just by their behaviors. My garage lights are on 24/7 along with the brooder lamp, i do not start turning them out...

I just set 11 eggs under my brrody orp, now i have some questions: what exactly do i need to do exactly? Should i candle or not? Should i move her off the nest once in a while to check eggs? Or do I just leave it all up to mama? This is my first time with a broody
I just set 11 EE eggs under my 1st ever broody buff orp . I removed the golf balls and placed the eggs and oh boy was she excited!!! Arranged them all carefully and hunkered right down.. Lol

Okay so, i have a broody buff orp that has been sitting tight on 6 golf balls for 5 days now. I have put her in her own little coop..after reading through some threads i think thAts the right thing to do or is it better to leave her with the flock??? All my girls free range she doesnt get off...

Ok i removed her from the nest scooped out the eggs set her outside, she was not happy definately did not want me there. good thing i wore gloves,never thought they coukd be so viscious!! Lol but before i coukd walk away she went back to the nest and sat tight! Shoukd i offer her...
Well i dont have a roo! So they're not gonna hatch. Remove her and put her where? Just on the roost or outside? Will she bite me? Shoul i just grab eggs and let her stay? Ughhh i'm so not prepared for this
