    Chicken Guard

Last might mu husband was laughing, as it has become apparent that one of my six chickens will sleep in the doorway to the roost. Head facing out into the coop. And it is a different one each night.

What did you do in the garden today?

I harvested my second batch of lettuce, chives, and radishes. Then gave my mint Bush its third haircut in a week. Pulled two weeds, and noted my tomatoes are just about ripe. Still working on the last batch of harvested lettuce and chives, so maybe a big chef salad for dinner

    Son found this today

Can anyone tell me what this is? Looks like a cross between a bee and a moth. He found it in one of the cottonwood sprouts.

    Peanut the Jenday

The vet even clarified that Peanut is a Jenday. My biggest funny when it comes to him is he will clean my husband's goatee, then try to share it with me, after he pushes my husband away.

    Peanut the Jenday

Along with my flock I also have this adorable little guy. He just turned 2, and out of all the pets we have, he is solely mine. He bonded to me the day we got him. He views me as his.

There is 3 sharks, a stingray with barb, snowflake eel, multiple sets of clowns different varieties, 2 seahorses, and the list goes...

Well dang. Need a bigger coop then. I would love to free range my birds but I have some really nasty predators around. Neighbor dogs like to menace my flock, same as the other neighbors cats. Also have two sets of nesting hawks, raccoons, coyotes, and whatever else passes through. Fully enclosed...

I sincerely hope I don't have a rooster. I get up and leave for work, and at my old house I would wake up the rooster down the street. Those neighbors were not big fans of my job. So I hope I don't have to do that to my own flock. That would suck, as the rest of the family doesn't get up for...

Hello! My name is Wendy, I am married, have two kids, currently 4 cats, 3 dogs, a parrot, and an aquarium worth of salt water tanks. About a year ago, my husband and I moved into a new house with 1.75 acres. My husband supported my vegetable garden idea so strongly he did the machine work for...
