    Two dead guniea fowl !

    We found out its a hawk! We have since secured a smaller area that we were able to put protection over top the pen. My girls are a little unhappy but at least they are safe. I've had chickens for about 3 years and this has been the first time we have had trouble with birds of prey!

    There is some stuff you can get at tractor supply for "horse" wounds and deep wounds it's a gel and you can put it on the wound and it really helps heal it. I'm not at my house right now but can check the name as soon as I get back if you wish.

    I've noticed two of my hens kind of have a cough and one has like clear liquid coming from her "nose " beak holes. Kind of happens when she sneezes. Does anyone know what this could be and how to treat it ?

    PS.... I wouldn't shoot a dog for randomly roaming on to my property.....I would have to feel threatened or feel my family and flock are in danger.
