    Cleaning dirty quail chicks?

I have mine on shredded straw with peatmoss dust baths... between the peat dust and spilled food, I think it makes poo cement, LOL. Worth trying the sand if it will help.

    Cleaning dirty quail chicks?

I can vouch for Peat Moss being dusty.... it's what I use for my dust baths... though, I'm thinking I need to add some sand, because, they get poo balls stuck to their claws... because they're In an indoor cage, they can't scratch around to keep their feet clean. Whenever I clean their pens I...

    Growth/tumor? Something on Quail's Head

    Question regarding quail molting

I am letting them be, hoping that they just need recovery time... but, the majority of my flock is old, and seems to be egged out, so, Having more than 2-3 eggs a day would be nice.

Haha, true. I bought mine from a breeder, but from the "assorted" cage... so, a mix 9f everything.

It is definitely interesting as each batch is different, and each breeding gives different combos.

Thanks for the IDs. I knew some of them, the M/F I'm still learning, though #6 I was pretty sure was male due to the darker head. Definitely getting lots of the gold and red tones mixed into them.

Thanks, me too! Every hatch I do, I get better and better mixes. The joys of not worrying about your breeding pairs :D
