    I had 35 to begin with, now with no antibiotics, and culling. Plus hatching I have five. Anybody know organic. I want the best of the best. Who can do that? I will pay for real quality. I know it takes years.

    I have read somewhere that if the membrane is blue, it's a true blue egg. My EE Cross eggs are green with white membranes.

    As I read thru the early post. I see a lot about lacing. Could anyone tell me a post/page number that is a good example of lacing. I am trying to learn. Or post a picture of a hen with good lacing? I want to know what to look for.

    These are definitely E. E. Ameraucana rooster RIR hen(parants). Pullets lay medium, green eggs.

    Sorry about your loss with the black hens, their leg color looks okay. Looking close at legs, not fingers.

    I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for your imput. Sorry about the picture thing, my phone is low on space so it loops me back. It does the same on FB. I did manage a picture of him as my avatar. Maybe that will help. Again thanks for taking time to help.

    It's just hard to understand how a potential brood cock for show quality birds. Could ITSELF be classed as other. It's hard to wrap my mind around it. I have had chickens most of my adult life. Only just raised my first Ameraucana loved him. The more I find out the more puzzled I get.

    Thanks, I have been told if bred to black hens it produce solid black, blues, and splash.

    I have a splash rooster, as you know it's not a recognized color for show. All else is perfect. Ameraucana, or E.E.E. ? Just wondering.
