    Coop for sale 90065

Coop is in 90065. $400 The coop is about 4.5x9 and about 7' tall. The wire is stucco lathe which has dimensions and aesthetic similar to poultry wire but the gauge is MUCH thicker (on par with hardware cloth). It's also wrapped along the bottom of the run so no burrowing critters can get in...

Year old Buff Orps and Black Aussies. Los Angeles 90065

2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Black Australorps I'm moving and cannot take my small flock. They are just over a year old and some of their eggs have recently gotten really large; they'd be considered "Jumbo" in stores. They lay collectively about 3-4 a day. call (or text) or email me if...

    Weird brooder

Thank you very much. As I don't have access to a wire cage and I don't know how to block her from the nest box without blocking the chickens I actually want using it for eggs I may just wait it out. So you think she'll just stop on her own after a while?

    Weird brooder

I have an 9 month old that has become seriously antisocial. She sits in the next box day and night. I have no idea when she comes out to eat though she must as she's been doing this for a month and doesn't seem ill physically. It matters little if there are eggs in there or not. In fact she...

though id share me coop * pic heavy*

That's HUGE. I'm jealous. You have room for SO MANY CHICKENS!!! I like your nest boxes too. Great work.

For those of you looking for inexpensive fencing.

That's what I did my coop in too. less than 1/4 the price of regular chicken wire and at least twice as thick. It would seriously have to be Cujo to get through this wire. My only issue with it is that my silly girls aren't going into their hen house at night and they're sleeping in the run near...

Type of wood for coop in S. California

Look and see if there's a habitat for humanity in your area. You can get discounted 2x4 lumber and plywood and other building supplies for slightly less. Craigslist often has free or cheap wood options. Often people are giving away pallets which you can use by standing up on end and bolting...

    Newbie's Coop

Home depot $50 for so much I only needed half of it. If you're in LA ill give you the rest.

    Newbie's Coop

I put the hen door right under the nest box with the thought that the traffic would dissuade nesting down there. We shall see! RiddleMe warned about the nestbox height in relation to the roost bars. Ive got quite a bit of head room in the enclosure so I'll put the roost bars another foot in...

    Adding pullets to pullets

Thank you for your advice. I only have 4 at this point but if your numbers are correct I guess I cannot afford more.

    3 pullets - 1 probable rooster = uncertainity

i just read that the silkies don't much care for the other breeds as much and prefer hanging out with other silkies. This was just on one person's blog however. Perhaps somebody else with actual experience can debunk this as I too would like to add a silkie for the cute factor.

    Adding pullets to pullets

I've got 4 six week old chickens now, 2 buff orpingtons and 2 black australorps. My coop is 3x4 interior and 9x4 in the run. I want to add two chickens. I'd like to add a barred rock chick or pullet and a silkie or frizzle bantam for fun. Obviously if I get chicks they'll have to be brooder...

    Newbie's Coop

It's stucco lathe which is the same shape as chicken wire but twice as thick! And I paid $50 for a 150ft roll of it rather than $50 for a 25 ft roll of hardware cloth. My only fear about it is raccoons reaching through the holes and grabbing one of them. But I've been keeping them inside the...
