I just went out this morning after a two day vacation to let the chickens out. When I let out the 3 month old Chicks I noticed the one has a big red swollen eye and in between the lids is puss. I can’t see the eye at all and she doesn’t seem to be to affected by it. Should I take her to the vet...

He/she has gone in and out of the boxes. I do want to invest in one of those little plastic brooders instead of the heat lamps, just haven’t done so yet. That may just fix all my issues.

So I just got some little chicks one is maybe a little under a week old the other four are just days old so they are about half the size. I just got my chicks in the mail about an hour ago and a couple have pasty butt. Should I treat this now or let them settle in first for a little bit? I don’t want to add more stress, but I know it can be fatal to a young chick. They all seem to be doing very well. Eating, drinking and being chicks!

Yeah she’s a total mystery but I like that about her lol. Nice to finally get an idea what she might be though
