Do you age the chicken poo first?

Ok, I have one batch that had it, and I have been very careful about not letting them anywhere near my other chickens, who never had it. I was religiously cleaning their waterer and feeder, and keeping them far away from any other chickens, and even went as far as to boil their waterer and...

So if you had chicks who had it when they were little, you don't have to get rid of the chicks if you want to breed later on. You could actually use them for breeding?

So basically does every single chicken carry it, even very healthy ones, but it just gets out of control when environmental conditions are bad?

So, if parent chickens had coccidia as babies, survived, grew up, and layed eggs. The eggs were incubated in an incubator, and upon hatch were immediately sent to another farm all together with no coccidia in the pens, would the newly hatched chicks still get coccidia?

It is so hard to tell about any of them. I thought I was very good at this, but I have a group of 16 week olds, and I have no idea about any of them.

That is pretty creative. I'm surprised, because the droppings look so different, but what a good idea. Thanks everyone for all of your help. My chicken is gone now. She died about 30 minutes ago.

She is about 15 weeks. Our vet does not deal with chickens, so I can't bring a sample anywhere. Thanks. :-(

She is a 1, I just wish I would have noticed sooner. They were all doing very well and were active yesterday. I spent most of the day with them, but did not hold them. She is not improving at all yet.

Right now it is just pure water. She hasn't ingested anything and isn't putting anything out. When I give her water, it comes out about 15 minutes later as pure water.

Thanks, I'm going to go ahead and start the Corrid. That is more of an emergency and more of a quick killer, so will go with that. I do have all of the stuff you mentioned in stock for "just in case" after reading all of your posts on the hatch a longs! Thank you so much for your help, and...

Update, I just got her to swallow a good amount of water, but it went right through to a watery puddle on the ground. Definite diarrhea. Should I begin treatment for worms?
