We purchased chicks listed as Rudd Rangers (free run) on May 15. They have distinctly differing colors mostly red or white with a few that are multicolored. There is a difference in growth rates especially between the red and the white. I’ll try to get pictures tomorrow but any ideas?
We use pellets mixed with a small amount of mealworms and oyster shells in their constant access feeder to our girls who are free to range in a fenced in yard. Once a day I call them and slowly toss out a handful of the pellets as a treat (this is for 6 chickens). Does this sound adequate but...
since we found our first egg 5 days ago we’ve gotten a new one daily. Is it likely the same bird or a few birds? Also, though small, all of the eggs have had normal shells? I’ll find out about the inside tonight. Having bacon and eggs.
