Hey all, it has been forever since I have been on the thread. The hours at this job are killing me. 6000 unread posts. Jeezum crow. I haven't gone through them all so what is the word on POOPS? Hopefully I will see some of you fine folks tomorrow night at Newcastle. Gotta thin out some of the...
I am going to process for the first time as well. Probably the weekend after next. I couldn't find anybody near by to teach me so I have watched a ton of videos and will just go for it. Wish me luck!
I also hit the Auction last night and came home with four Wheaton? Ameracuana and a roo...
Does anyone know what time the poultry show in Newcastle starts on Saturday? I am trying to swing by for that before going to the Orr family farm in the afternoon. I am also looking for a bee mentor if anyone is willing. There is only so much you can learn from books and I would really like to...
Yeah. They can be pretty rough sometimes. I heard that before we got there a cage of birds were auctioned off that had a couple of dead ones in it. Did you see that?
We were there too. Picked up a pair of Barred Rock Ameracauna crosses. Beautiful barred birds with muffs. Also 2 Black Langshan pullets and a young rabbit to Possibly start a breeding progam. The auction was over by 9:30 which was great for us because we brought the kiddos. Do you have a cast on...
Hey all,
I have a sick chicken. She is congested like she has a cold. I have been giving her VetRx and I bought some Tylan 50 injectable today. If I give her the Tylan what dosage do I give. I know this has been discussed before but I though I would ask before digging through the posts. Also she...
Hey all! Haven't posted in a while. I got a couple of roos I would like to sell or trade for some pullets. Not to particular on the breed as long as they lay pretty well. Here they are.
A Blue Ameracauna
And a Splash Ameracauna
These guys are a little over 5 months old.
I have a juvenile with a bum leg. He was limping around when I brought him in tuesday night and ate and drank when I put them in his cage. Added ACV and honey to his water as well. Last night he was worse and his leg felt feverish. His leg doesn't seem to be broken. Tonight he is not doing well...
I still need to get that Wheaton from you. I swapped a couple of Japanese bantam roos and a hen for four easter egger hens last weekend. Just waiting for them to settle in and start laying. Still need to build the new coop but this new job is keeping me very busy and I am canning and freezing...
You can also try table salt in the carpeted areas. Just sprinkle it around. It is supposed to dry them out. I tried this a couple of years ago when we got them in the house and it seemed to help. Feels like crap on bare feet though. You can google salt and fleas and get some more info.
