Newcastle had lots of birds. I got to meet Bardies (Kim) and her husband, Both are super nice. I took $55 with me and came home with $19, so I thought I did really good. I got 6 tiny Lavender Guinea babies, 4 newly hatched chicks and the most beautiful pair of Bantam Partridge Cochins for only $10. They're tiny and awesome
We were there too. Picked up a pair of Barred Rock Ameracauna crosses. Beautiful barred birds with muffs. Also 2 Black Langshan pullets and a young rabbit to Possibly start a breeding progam. The auction was over by 9:30 which was great for us because we brought the kiddos. Do you have a cast on your leg? If so we were right next to you.
No cast but I had a tiny gray Chihuahua puppy with me. I remember those Langshans
I'd have liked a few of them also. The ones I was eye-balling were the 1/2 grown Easter Eggers. The lady sitting in front of me got them and she obviously wanted them really bad so I was glad. I've missed these auctions so much but i also feel bad for so many of the birds because some are in pretty tough shape.
