    Dusty chicken run

    I'm looking for ideas too. my run is dirt and I would like to put sand or something in it to keep the smell down. Anyone with ideas let us know.

    Hello from PA I'm a bit new here too. This spring is the first time we got into raising chickens. I ordered 5 Gold Laced Wyandottes on line, but couldn't wait for them to show up, So I purchased some from Tractor supply. Now instead of only having 5, we now have 11. It has been a blast so far !!!

    My birds are 7 weeks old, if I move them outside do they need a heat lamp at night?

    We live in PA and have put ours in the coop about 2 weeks ago with a heat lamp on at night, they were about 5 weeks old. I just finished the run last weekend and finally left them out to have fun in the run. They love it. No more heat lamp.
