    My African is trying to mount my hens, I think?

    My 25 week old gosling African is biting the backs of my hens and I think he/she is trying to mount them? Does this mean I have a male African? Do they normally bite the back of the other bird they are mating with? I'm so new to all of this.

    My white leghorn is laying brown eggs????

    My white leghorn from Estes Hatchery started laying yesterday and she's laying brown eggs both yesterday and today. Something tells me she's not what we ordered. Attached are a picture of her and her egg. Help!!!! What is she????

    All of my chickens came from Estes hatchery in Springfiled, MO (with the exception of my Toulouse, Astro and EE). I can't figure out what she is. She's as big as my white leghorn, not as big as my Buff Orps. She's gold and white. She's the only one laying so far, brown eggs. What do you guys...
