it's more of a maroon color when you look at him with the naked eye. he's a beautiful little guy and i really wish i liked roosters but, he'll have a great life with the gal that contacted me. he'll have his own little harem of 14 girls his age ;) thank you so much for helping with this.
I dont want any roosters and this one has me baffled, it crowed yesterday, a feeble crow but a crow just the same. 8 weeks old, ayem cemani father, olive egger hen (silver/blue colored) hatched from a green egg.
i've had suspicions of this little diamond being a neal and i dont want to rehome...
these are fathered by an ayem cimani, the mothers are random, i'm pretty sure one is an easter egger because of the puffy cheeks. I think the one is a roo and praying the puffy cheek one is a pullet. my little bantam hen went broody so we gave some eggs from a friend of mine.
I bought a bag of scratch from local feed store and it was very dusty, they wouldn't touch it. i wonder if it was cob dust? i'm glad you mentioned this, thank you
