    Good treats for baby chicks?

    When spending time with my 6 new Maran chicks (1 week old) I treated them to eat from my hand: 2 ounces of shredded lettuce, 6 popcorn pieces and they seemed to play with it more than eat it. But they sure played chase with it when all the chirping started. But then again, they get excited...

    I had chickens on the farm as a small child but now a new mama to raising chickens. I just got 6 pullets marans (1 week old), 3 silkies (20 weeks), 2 ameraucanas (1 year, layers), 2 barred plymouth rocks (1 year, layers), and 3 red laced wyandottes (20 weeks) - ALL THIS WEEK. Help educate me...
