I had chickens on the farm as a small child but now a new mama to raising chickens. I just got 6 pullets marans (1 week old), 3 silkies (20 weeks), 2 ameraucanas (1 year, layers), 2 barred plymouth rocks (1 year, layers), and 3 red laced wyandottes (20 weeks) - ALL THIS WEEK. Help educate me of what I got myself into...

G'Day from down under WildOkieChick :frowWelcome and Congratulations! :clap

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

:welcome so glad you have joined us.

Congrats on getting your new flock. You have returned to a fun, exciting adventure.

Assuming you now have the young ones separated from the others - study up on integration methods and different feed needs.

You've gotten yourself a very nice flock. You may want to check out the Learning Center, it's the best place to start a poultry education. :welcome:yesss:

Awesome to have you! :welcome I'm assuming you have the little ones in a separate area from the big ones. If you have any questions about introducing them, just ask! :)
