I have no idea if I am placing this in the right spot or if I will ever find my way back to this thread again.
However, I was wondering if someone can refresh my memory on how to dry incubate. I am going to try and incubate some eggs again. I did it a few months ago, but I had so many ups and...
I'm sad to hear about the ducks, but I hope every thing else does well for you and fowllover!!
My guys are doing well. My son wants to put another round in the incubator but everyone who said they would take one of the polish backed out. Now we have 13 and all the others we had to begin with...
I stayed up all night on the 20th day and all day on the 21. It's amazing how fast some pip and zip compared to others. I can't wait until my next hatching. Now the hard part- what to hatch next!
Good luck on your hatching, keep us updated.
Day 22- little guy is doing better, no more bleeding. I now have 13 chicks. I'll wait another couple days before I rule out the remaining 3.
I can't believe all the worrying I did about the little ones on day 20!!!
This can become very addicting!!
I have 12 out of 17 bearded polish chicks. Today is day 22, I hope the remaining 5 will hatch today, but if not I have to open my incubator to get the other 12 out.
He thinks I have the stomach bug!! 24 hour bug of course. HEEEHEHEHEHE
Well today is day 21 and I have 11 chicks so far. One little guy showed up late last night, he was in a hurry. I still have 6 that don't look like they are doing much but I don't want to open the incubator yet. How long...
Me two!!! How long now do you think until they fully hatch? I can't stop watching it and it hasn't done anything else in the last two hours. I'm thinking about calling in sick tomorrow. LOL
Thank. I'm glad you mentioned the humidity going up as they hatch. It makes sense but I would have panicked anyways. I didn't even think of the temp lowering from the motor of the turner, but I guess it could contribute to the temp. If nothing is delayed and everything turns out OK, tomorrow is...
I candled a couple last night. I can still see the vein and I thought I migt of saw one move a little. I'm hoping that wasn't just wishful thinking.
Thanks for everyones help, I feel better. I'll keep everyone posted on how things go.
I have my temp at 100 and humidity is rocking between 70...
They did not feel cool at all. I hope they will be OK. I figured out what happened. When we went to remove the turner one of the windows fell out. However, I was rushing and didn't notice.
I am on day 18 of the hatching process. I took my eggs out of the turner and added water to increase the humidity. I then headed to my sisters for several hours. When I got home my temp had gone from 100 to 85. Did I kill the little guys or does anyone think there still might be a chance. I'm...
I would love to do a swap like this. I am apart of an on line craft swap and we are required to use DC #. There is always someone who would flakes on the swap so the person who start the swap would find that person a swap angle and the person who flaked was not a loud to participate again.
Thanks.
I feel better now. I am on day 12 and I can see the air bubble on most of them and I can see veins i all of them. A couple of them moved while I was candling them!!!!! EXCITING!!!!!!!
