That's great! I have that same poultry thermometer that I purchased from tractor supply. Keep an eye on it. Mine was on metal and under the light (where you are supposed to keep it) the stupid thing would retain heat and gave me inaccurate readings. I had one chick that wouldn't eat or drink...

You should definitely be grandfathered in. I can think of 2 options. You can call an attorney or....make you a really big sign that says roosters for sale $500 each. They will probably tell you that you are not grandfathered in hopes that you will cave and just rid of your roosters. I'm willing...

They are very lucky you found them! People put them out not thinking about all the predators. I wish people would just try and rehome them or something. They buy these animals on a whim without doing any research. So many of my Facebook friends are posting pics of the baby chick they picked up...

That's what I was thinking also. When I was a kid we would always find baby chicks and ducks at a drainage field by our house. People would buy the birds around easter because they are cute and after a few days realize they are actually a responsibility and ditch them there.
