Hi! We're planning to redo our chicken run with a deep sand bed (6") and we're curious what size gravel folks have used for drainage underneath. I've seen some suggest pea gravel, others 3/4" gravel. Anyone have any experience for/against different sizes? Our main concern is too small a gravel...

Sorry if this is obvious, but did the chicks have a heat source outside? Or perhaps a recent change in weather? They're very temp sensitive.
