She might be egg bound because none of my hens ever quit laying when they molt they range from 1-2 years in age. The stool sample sounds like a pretty good idea too. I would feel her tummy to see if it is hard. She may need some other kind of chicken food. What kind do you feed her? I feed mine...
Hi! I need help! Lol
I have a 6month old BO and she is sitting on eggs! She keeps trying to bite me and keeps making a very very very evil sound when I try to move her and is fluffed up 3 times as fluffy as usual.
How do I remove her from her nest?
I just let my duck hatch babies and I am...
Hi! I am so excited my duck hatched two baby chickens and I had to take them from her (because they aren’t ducks).
Anyway, they are now two weeks old I think and and extremely active their names are Charlotte, and Quack (because her “mom” was a duck).
I know their mom’s and dad’s just don’t...
I know right!?!
They are in there right now peeping their cute little peeps and the mommy is quacking at them. And it’s so wonderful!
Can I not watch them hatch? Or will the mommy not sit on the other eggs ( the duckies)? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
I raised mine with chickens and this is our pond...ours isn’t very big either. Mine had me as a mother they are 1year now and my girl
Is sitting on eggs right at this moment and the boys hate the pond. A lot.
Omg your ducks are beautiful.
I am having the same problem, but it was because my duck got attacked by a snapping turtle and it tore his webbing a couple months ago. They all are extremely scared of it.
I would check for turtles somehow because that’s not normal for a duck
This was taken last night.
You can see that there is piping on one of the eggs and the other was either stepped on or was a little ahead on hatching.
My ducklings will hatch in 3-4 days I think.
Today is hatching day for the chickens!!!! :celebrate
Soooo sooo excited I will be moving her babies (her chickens) into a tote with a heat lamp and I’ll still let her hatch her duck babies that way she can still hatch them and not leave the nest to take care of the chickens...
