i have chickens, ducks, turkeys, and geese in a 12x25 building for the winter. i blocked off an 8x12 section with a two foot wall so the turkeys and chickens could have their own area for waterer and lounging because the ducks and geese would not share the other waterers and make everything wet...

id say raccoon by the shape of the hind foot,looks like it might have its tail off to the side so you cant see it

go with the remington 870 in 20 guage pretty reasonably priced and a great shotgun, .22 will only injure the coyote and it will die later you want to humanely kill with one shot, anything over 50 yard shot i use .223 0r .22-250 either is accurate out to 300-500 yards with enough practice.
