update on our vet visit: the vet prescribed a polmyxin b sulfate and trimethoprim solution to drop in her ears three times a day. he seemed optimistic and said she looked good for an old girl. here is the patient eating her dinner of corn (not too much, only enough so she can see the food!)...

i think he's a splash andalusian. blue chickens hatch in about 50% blue, 25% black, and 25% splash. blue andalusian would be the common name for his breed.

i would guess australorp, only because of the big difference between her and her red and white sister. she's very beautiful.
