Definitely a shame.
My last two girls have a good home on a friend's farm. I lost my Silkie Momma a couple of months ago. :( I'm still a chicken lady though.
Well, thanks (I think) in part to the Ikea monkey lady, Oshawa has rushed about and amended the by law regarding pets. Chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowl and more are all now banned.
Don't know what to do about my three girls. I will just wait and see what happens and hopefully there are no...
How is your chicken? So sorry to hear about it. I don't know what would help other than a bit of heat and can you try to keep him/he hydrated? Will the chicken take some water in a bowl or squirted into the mouth? Can you add a bit of probiotics to it or electrolytes? Good luck.

Anyone else with the same thing, please respond. Maybe she is just floofy at the back???

I think you'll probably want bigger than that for 7 to 9 birds. I have 5 birds (2 banties and 3 standard) in a 4 x 6 coop with a 4 x 6 run, and I wouldn't feel comfortable with more in there. Maybe if you have outside nest boxes it would be ok, and a bigger run. But I find once you put the nest...
