I did not understand that. If you want to quickly and humanely euthanize a chick, use a sharp pair of pruning shears and cut their heads off. All of the poisoning and gassing methods sound inhumane to me. Just know that whatever you do it will be hard and unpleasant.

I read how to process a quail and that's how they do it. Under cold water they cut the head off with shears made for the purpose. Since you don't have that, then use something very sharp like pruning shears. If you want, I'll look for that post and share it with you.

No head off. They fall asleep when cold then put in cold water. Cut heads off is not ok

U have I just dont want to put more down and the head thing is a lttle brutal. I really would raise em if I could but if the owner pays to feed he says what goes. If deformed he dont want to pay to feed. I actually bury them and say prayer bc I want to bless them for the life we shared and apology fod my deeds. Thank you for trying

It's just that lopping off the head is the fastest death I can think of. Maybe it's misguided. I'm going to see if I can get @Kiki to come here to help you. She is so smart and has so much more experience than I do on hatching. I saw that she was trying to help you on your other thread, but if you are getting lost with so many forum threads than this might be the place to do it.

If you're asking about the deformed chick that you posted a picture of...yes I think you should cut it's head off. No one can tell you how much that chick is suffering because we don't know.
