  • Does nobody understand im asking about putting down chicks so don't suffer and when is suffering considered? Thats my main question bc the longer it takes the longer it grows up and harder on it and me. I have several threads blowing my mind and 1 person said yea. The la fleche may be too inbred but I need to research that exotic rare breed more, but this all started since snow storm.

What? I don't understand what a storm has to do with this.
Maybe I'm not understanding correctly but you're saying that you've hatched 12 deformed chicks that you've already had to put down?

You are asking our opinion on whether or not you should put down another one but you are saying it's not really your choice that the choice has been made for you by your boss, correct?

12 inculdes ones just dead. I put down 4. Spread legged chicks dieing is confusing me. This one deformed guy just hatched with my assist bc was stuck. Then now see why was stuck. Forum is frustrating. My landord is gone a lot and I have to figure things out. I dont know what is considered deformed. And now I'm so frustrated

I think cutting off their heads is the most humane and fastest way to cull if something is wrong with the bird. I've had to cull several & I use really sharp scissors. I don't like it, I just do it because it needs to be done.
