Yeah, I haven't been openly active since like late July/early August. Just needed a break to go deal with some personal stuff and also work on my portfolio so I can get accepted into a stock-image site. I'm just starting to come back around, but not too much (No RPs/chat threads yet. Just stalking PMs.)
So do I, it always made me smile to see y'all being y'all's crazy selves XD

Oh that’s super cool! I hope you get accepted! Is it like a paid job? I recently got a job at a local wedding venue and it’s been soooo fun, but I only got to work last weekend bc we got exposed to coronavirus. Tmr is the 2 week mark tho and we aren’t showing symptoms so I think we’re okay, thank goodness!

Thanks Abri! Pretty much, but you submit your photos and they'll go over them and decide if they're good/sharp enough, if so accept them. Then people can buy them to use as/in book-covers, magazines, blogs, commercials, and so on. It's what my mom does and she's had me in front and behind of a camera my whole life XD My sister's also a portrait/wedding photographer which is my goal--

Oh that sounds amazing! I would love to do photography so maybe that’s a good place to start. I really think it would be cool to do it for National Geographic too bc I looove animals and getting to go to all those cool places. You’re not allowed to touch the animals but they can come to you! I think that would be so cool.

I’m a server, so basically I can do random jobs before the madness starts, and then I either serve food or run dishes and food back and forth from the kitchen. Honestly it’s been so fun, the lady in charge is so kind, and the atmosphere is really nice. It’s Friday and Saturday nights too which is awesome bc I don’t have to worry about getting home early so I can get up early the next day to do schoolwork...

...Everything just kind of fell into place so nicely it feels like it was definitely the right choice for me. Plus I get to wear this earpiece on the day of the wedding and that makes me feel super professional and cool I just love wedding and idc if I’m at it or behind the scenes

I would definitely recommend it! Working for Nat Geo would definitely be a dream come true. I've always thought that their photographers and cinematographers were super lucky XD

XD I love weddings, too. That's one of the reasons I want to be a wedding photographer. They can be super fun as long as you don't get an especially whiny/demanding couple. XD

I agree! Mom and I were looking at colleges last night. I might do film, like behind the scenes stuff and maybe photography as a side thing but probably just weddings on occasion. But I’m not 100% decided yet

We used to do home church with the owner and he told lots of stories about crazy brides.

Also I’m working 17 hours this weekend! 9 and 1/2 on Friday and 8 on Saturday. I just got back from buying black tennis shoes and we ordered sole inserts bc the last two times my feet and legs hurt so badly. I feel like maybe I should do another week or two of 4 hour shifts instead of leaping into 9 1/2 hours. I’m not used to this!

That's awesome! When I go to college I'll probably get a psychology associate's degree so I'm halfway to a bachelor's/halfway to being able to get certified as a therapist as a fallback if photography falls out. I've always loved psychology too XD

Being able to do cinematography is another goal of mine. I love watching cinema Peter McKinnon does. (His photos are dope too) Being able to manipulate videos and the perception of things is pretty cool to me XD

Well they let me go early tonight! Since it was just the rehearsal dinner and a lot of ppl left, so they said I could go. The tennis shoes did help! And I was sad to go bc any food that the guests don’t eat is free game for the staff...

..., and pizzas were about to be given to us :/ pizzas made there, the dough and everything so I knew they’d be good. Oh well. I ate enough pretzel bites and pulled pork that I was full anyway :lol
