  • 2 weeks 3 days the 10 week old EE's and my 6 Week old my 2 Australorps, Welsummer and my bantam EE are getting acquainted. Dixie Chick was the first to cause a little ruckus and the poor 10 week old EE's run from that big Australorp. You would think that would make Dixie 'head hen'. Wouldn't you? Nope Lola the very petite bantam EE is a menus. She was confronted by one of the large EE's when first introduced and 'it was on'. If I talk to them she runs at all 3 like a raving lunatic. They cower in a corner. I had to put up a board in the coop run to keep them separated. The big ones can sit on top of the board and go back and forth if they choose. They pretty much stay on their own side. Funny because at night they are now side-by-side in their separate brooder boxes and they are fine. They can see and touch each other if they choose. They get along fine.
