    Heavens it's crazy how fast birds can change in the blink of an eye! I've got these two Egyptian Fayoumis (Amethyst and Lapis) that I hatched in June. The first pic was sometime in September and I took the second one today. Those combs and whatnot came outta nowhere! I love these two gals and can't wait to add more of this breed to my flock come June!

    Hi! I just read your about and you said that your first chicken hatched from grocery store eggs? were they labeled fertilized or are they just ordinary eggs? that's so cool!

    eeee nope they were just a regular ole carton of open natures heirloom eggs! I also got my dad to send me some of petalumas rock island ones from CA and hatched one of those. ^^ Julian date on this carton pictured though was April 26th and they went in the incubator May 6th. Sorry for the late reply! ;w;

    All three in this pic were roos. I kept two and gave 1 to a friends bachelor flock. They're all grown up though and I've hatched some of their lil chicks they've helped create. ^^ The one that hatched from the Petaluma ones turned out to be a hen.
