Catalanas could use more keepers in the States. I found some authentic Catalanas after a long search. They were worth the effort. I have been impressed with their style, smarts, and confidence. They are all business. They are however, easy to manage and not flighty as some might expect. They lay a nice white egg, and plenty of them. Even up to and through the winter. Catalanas are a breed accepted into the Standard and on the verge of disappearing here in the States.
