I've purchased some square ones too. The chickens can't scratch them to tip them over. The square ones they can get into but can't tip and the loaf ones they don't go into.

They can be turned inside out or flattened on the ground to clean the majority out. I tip them over and drag them on the ground or through the snow in the winter. You can't wreck them.

The large square ones work nice in brooders. I placed the feeder in there when they were small, and they jump in and can scratch around but all the feed stays there. For larger ones, it still helps keep the feed in one spot rather than going to waste.

They are dishwasher and freezer safe.

I use them mostly for serving ferment. I either use a tray to haul them out and set down in various locations, or you can just pinch the sides together and carry a few that way.

They are just about indestructible and wash up nicely. I liked them so much I bought a second set.

Work great for ferment.
Pros: Chickens can't scratch and tip them over. They are almost indestructible. Clean-up is a breeze. Dishwasher and freezer safe.
I wouldn't be without them now that I'm so used to them. They prevent waste as the chickens can't knock them over. They will just eat from them.

I bought a second set two years after the first, and I can't tell a difference. They don't wear out or lose color.
