DC Heritage Poultry - has anyone used this breeder?

Thanks, we requested eggs instead. She seems to be very responsive, and people who took eggs were more happy with what became of their birds. A good early start seems to be what is good for both people and chickens. :)

    3 rows on a comb??

I'm brand new to this breed and only have little chicks, but I think that the hens may be more pecky. I gave away a few that were starting to fly and had three rows, and which pecked at me, but I think they were hens because they had tails fully grown in. Looking at who I have left, I think I...

I have only one that looks like that. All of her hatchmates are blues, greys, blacks, and dark chocolate. I am curious what it grew up to look like.

Comment by 'Ali_Howard' in article 'Perry Schofield, P&L Game birds, Canada'

Our class had button quail chicks which hatched from eggs laid by birds you raised. We had different colours. A child took them to keep when I came south. Are you still raising and showing birds up there?

    Canadians check in here....

There is a community on Facebook for eggs in Canada in small numbers from hobbyists, and another from big hatcheries. I found many small hatcheries in BC and Alberta that way, but it depends on what you are looking for. Chicks are on a separate site due to federal legislation. Canadian Poultry...

    American Holland

In our area, it’s not legal to sell eggs on eBay unless you have a license. I did find a source in Canada, but they’re 4000 km away. ;)

13-14 week old Easter Egger pullet with blue earlobes?

Mosaic. I’m not sure what they are bread from, but what it shows is that it’s carrying a skin colour gene. Maybe be related to a Cemani or something.
