    I was wondering that about sand for my coop. Th y ha e a house that will Ha e chopped straw of shavings but my coop is 14X8' and I want 2-3 inches of something other than dirt in there. So sand has worked well for you? Any advice is appreciated. My 'girls' are only 6 days old today.

    I am not sure but I bought it at the feed store? I raised it so the temp is good. I monitored it all day yesterday and made notes of the temp. The ducklings arrived and they are running all around eating and drinking!!! They appear very happy.
