    Can you post a picture of her? Sometimes a tumor on an ovary can result in hormonal changes that make a hen take on male characteristics - male specific feathering, crowing, mating hens - they do not become fertile roosters only take on the appearance and actions. I have only ever seen it...

    The lone 'Phoebe' hatchling fledged yesterday. Not certain whether it was a Phoebe or a Cowbird. At home one of the transmitter hens has joined with the hen and four poults. Still awaiting the return of some of last years birds - especially the bearded hen.

    Went to the club - filled bird feeders and then relaxed on the porch. Went to TSC. In the house with the AC churning away. Too hot/humid for much more.
