    I don’t feed my Roos anything different from the flock. Everyone gets 18% layer pellets and also 18% textured layer. It’s a mix of grains and a pellet. So the boys get a choice what to eat somewhat. But they don’t get anything special.

    I feed a 21% starter medicated, but at aroumd 2 weeks they are out an about eating whatever they find, plus the 18% layer (Purina) the bigs eat. I keep the Starter available for them, which they also eat.

    Thanks Manue, I checked out the bumble foot link, looks like the dressing cut off the circulation, it’s the one thing I worry about all the time when I dress chicken feet. I didn’t read to the end so I don’t know if the wee fella made it or not.

    It was 10C (50F) when I got up this morning - brrrrr! had to find a sweater to wear. Soon it will be Autumn, then winter - but not for a few months yet!
