I will probably go to the store.
If I go to the store, I'll stop at the bank.
I'll cook some rice.
I'll do something in the garden, as it's the last cool day before we get to the grisly hot days.
Did it sound like peep-peep-peep-peep?
:lau
I'll settle this. The white chick is either a pullet or a cockerel. The black chick is either a cockerel or a pullet. :)
Widget is full on broody. I put her in the crate yesterday afternoon. Last night and tonight are supposed to be cool (upper 50s/low 60s), and I'm hoping she breaks quickly. It's supposed to get HOT by Thursday and Friday. Heat indices of 105°.
I thought it hadn't been that long since she was...
Widget, my serial broody, is broody for the 3rd time this season. I thought, geez, it seems like I just had the breaker crate out... Yup! On June 5th.
I really, really hope she breaks quickly, as it is going to get HOT here. I put her in the crate yesterday. Last night and tonight are going to...
Today and tomorrow are the last two days of relatively cool weather. I'll be working in the garden to try to make up for taking the weekend off. But the weekend was full of fun things, so it was an ok trade off.
One of our neighbors is going to take out their lawn; it's a pain to mow due to the topography. They're putting in wildflowers instead. They also bought a bunch of trees to plant on their property, and one of them is a tulip poplar. Those can be literally dripping with nectar in the spring...
Hubby said the best honey he ever tasted was buckwheat. :thumbsup
I can still do it, but you're right... the getting up is harder than it used to be!
I do all the stuff I used to do, but more slowly, and with more breaks. My goal is to keep being able to do it, no matter what speed.
I think I won't get anymore of the black raspberries, as the birds have found them. Oh well. Two batches of jam, and a good lesson on making jam with honey. I call that a win.
Nothing done out there today. We had a long, chatty lunch with friends that took most of the afternoon. I'll get out...
Has anyone been to a honey tasting room? I thought that would be an up and coming thing, but all I'm finding is mead. I want to taste different honeys, not mead.
