Anyone near the Arkansas/Oklahoma State line that is going to the Lucasville, OH show this weekend that wouldn't mind hauling a few chicks for me to be delivered?
Going to ignore the tone, but just hadn't seen in all the excitement of the arrangements of the BYC table that anyone mentioned they had asked. I know, at times space and availability for these sort of things are limited. Just trying to make sure you guys had taken all the necessary precautions.
Maybe sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong, which happens all the time....but has anyone thought of asking for permission from the show club about setting up your table? Just me, and I know you have BYC's blessing, but I would clear it with the show club before making any presumptive...
Also part of this hatchery... http://www.schlechthatchery.com/chickens.htm
I, too, have ordered from them with very positive results! Chicks come big and healthy. This was my third year ordering from them and I am thinking of ordering more...
I also ordered from them this year. They are also Reich Mountain Poultry Farm and Schlecht Hatchery (http://www.schlechthatchery.com/chickens.htm) If the advertisement is anything like the one I get, the prices on their website aren't the same. They are easy to deal with, usually have fast...

Most of you didn't know me but for the ones that I met, it was good entertainment! Teach, pigeons will never be manly enough for me.

Sex link can be created with other breeds other than production reds and leghorns. Do your research and you will find this to be accurate. It can be the combination of many genes, not just specifically from two breeds. There is a whole stickied topic on this. And anyone with experience with...
I think it looks like a pair. Even though the one doesn't have the crazy crest associated with the breed, you can definately still tell the difference in them.
Judging from the down color of the chick, and the slight mottling in the juvenile feathers, that bird is going to feather out spangled, and more than likely a male. Hard to say what breed, but I had a thai game chick hatch out that was colored like yours and it is spangled.
